IvyLab Get Wonky on ‘Shamrock’

Over the past couple of years, Bass music super-group Ivy Lab  Have moved away from their trademark liquid Drum and Bass sound in favour of a half time, industrial & experimental flavour also championed by Alix Perez, Rockwell & Machinedrum.

I think we were all a bit skeptical at first.. It’s very easy to resist change, especially when the trio were so well loved for tracks such as “Oblique”.. All that aside though, these lot have some serious skills when it comes to this sort of thing.

I don’t think the Lab have ever made a track I don’t like to be honest.. And so it goes with ‘Shamrock’. A seriously wonky & trend-setting chunk of half-time that sets a monstrous tone, for the new label 20/20.
